'02年発表。SAMSON復活の狼煙になる筈が、首魁ポール・サムソンの急死（ガンだったとか）により、図らずも遺作になってしまった2枚組ベスト・アルバム。
「SAMSON？普通のHRバンドだぞ。ブルースの歌唱も今ほど劇的じゃないし」との前評判と、背伸びしたい盛りのヤングだった身には、SMスナイパーばりの覆面姿で檻の中に納まるサンダースティック先生の神々しいパフォーマンスが、ズバリ申し上げて「アホじゃねえの？」と子供騙しに思えたこともあり、その音に触れる機会を逸し続けていたSAMSONを見直す切っ掛けともなった、個人的に非常に恩義を感じているベスト盤でもあります。
ブルーズ・ベースのHRサウンドを、ブルース・ディッキンソン（Vo）がダイナミックな歌唱で盛り立てる2nd『HEADS ON』に、名盤の誉れ高い3rd『SHOCK TACTICS』のみならず、こうしてまとめて聴いてみると
